Virginia History Day on the Hill
Virginia History Day on the Hill
Students from Mary Munford Elementary visited the Virginia State Capitol on March 2 to participate in Virginia History Day on the Hill. Three students presented their National History Day research projects to legislators, staff, and visitors in the General Assembly Building.
Their projects explored topics including Susan B. Anthony’s role in the fight for women’s suffrage and the history of public assistance programs in the United States. During their visit, students also toured the Capitol, connecting their historical research with Virginia’s government in action.
